Not Perfect, but Fun Font

It’s 9:45 a.m. and I’m staring at a blank canvas for the latest social media campaign. The client wants something fresh, something that feels personal, not too polished. That’s when I remember the font I’ve been saving for just this moment—Not Perfect, but Fun. It’s a handwritten script that brings warmth and authenticity to any design, making it perfect for campaigns that want to feel real and relatable.

The first thing I notice about Not Perfect, but Fun is its natural, unpolished look. It doesn’t try to be perfect—it embraces the little imperfections that make handwriting so human. This gives it a friendly, approachable vibe that works well for educational content, chalkboard quotes, or any message that needs to feel personal. It’s not just a font; it’s a style that adds character and emotion to every design.

For this campaign, we’re launching a seasonal sale. The goal is to create a series of Instagram posts and Pinterest pins that feel like they were written by a friend rather than a brand. Not Perfect, but Fun fits perfectly here. Its soft curves and irregular spacing make it ideal for headlines, callouts, and short phrases that need to stand out without overwhelming the viewer.

One of the biggest challenges in digital marketing is making sure your message is clear and easy to read, especially on mobile screens. Not Perfect, but Fun handles this well when used strategically. For example, using it for a headline like “Summer Sale: Up to 30% Off” keeps the message bold and readable while still feeling personal. On smaller previews, the font remains legible, which is crucial for thumbnails and image overlays.

I often pair Not Perfect, but Fun with a clean sans serif font like Montserrat or Lato for body text. This contrast helps guide the viewer’s eye and ensures the message is easy to follow. It also adds visual balance, preventing the design from looking too chaotic or cluttered. The combination works especially well for email banners, landing pages, and promotional content where clarity is key.

Another use case for Not Perfect, but Fun is in webinar promotions. We recently created a series of YouTube thumbnails for an online course, and the font added a playful yet professional touch. It worked well for titles like “Learn How to Start Your Business” or “Master Digital Marketing in 30 Days.” The font’s personality made the thumbnails more engaging, encouraging viewers to click and learn more.

When designing for different platforms, I always consider how the font will look on dark backgrounds, light backgrounds, and in fast-scrolling feeds. Not Perfect, but Fun adapts well in most cases, but I tend to avoid using it for long paragraphs. Instead, I use it for short, impactful messages that can grab attention quickly. It’s great for logos, headers, and decorative titles, but not necessarily for body copy.

One of the things I love about Not Perfect, but Fun is its versatility. It’s part of the Script Amp collection, which means it comes with multiple styles, alternates, and ligatures. This makes it easier to customize and fine-tune the look for different projects. Whether I’m working on a branded content series or a simple social post, the font gives me the flexibility to experiment without sacrificing quality.

Before using any font in a campaign, I always check the licensing terms. Not Perfect, but Fun is a commercial font, which means it’s safe to use in ads, templates, merchandise, and client projects. It also supports multiple languages, which is a big plus for international campaigns. The file formats included are standard, making it easy to integrate into design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Canva.

As I wrap up the campaign, I review all the visuals one last time. The font has helped bring the message to life in a way that feels genuine and authentic. It’s not about being flawless—it’s about connecting with the audience on a personal level. And that’s exactly what Not Perfect, but Fun does best.

Whether you're designing for a product launch, a seasonal sale, or a digital ad set, Not Perfect, but Fun is a font that adds personality and clarity. It’s not just a typeface—it’s a tool that helps marketers and creators tell their story in a way that feels real, relatable, and unforgettable.
